宗旨

以推廣毒品、藥物、化學毒物防治有關之研究發展、教育訓練及幫助解決相關問題為宗旨。

業務範圍

  1. 協助政府及各級民間機構在毒品、藥物濫用防治業務之執行、發展與推廣。
  2. 協助毒品、藥物濫用者之更生與重建。
  3. 協助全國性毒藥物諮詢中心業務之推展，推廣中毒預防與救治之概念與技術。
  4. 宣導教育民眾，注重用藥安全、職業衛生、認識化學物質，以減少勞資糾紛、改善環境污染、杜絕藥物成癮。
  5. 推展策劃資助有關毒品、藥物、化學危害、工業安全、環境醫學等方面之有關人員之專業訓練、繼續教育、出國進修、參觀、訪問、開會與研究。
  6. 舉辦或協辦有關之研討會並邀請國外專家來訪，進行學術交流與指導。
  7. 協助國內各界鑑定環境職業傷害，調查環境污染，執行藥物、及化學毒物之安全性評估；推廣並提昇相關有毒物質及危害之認識、診斷、治療、及預防之觀念與技術。
  8. 設立展示館，以加強宣導教育民眾有關之知識。
  9. 參與國際組織之活動，發展全球毒藥物防治網。

Mission

To promote research and development, education and training, and assist in solving problems related to the prevention of poisonings from drugs, medicines and chemicals.

Range of services

  1. To assist governmental and all levels of civil organizations in the implementation, development and promotion of activities regarding prevention of drugs and substances abuse.
  2. To assist in the rehabilitation of people with drugs and substances abuse.
  3. To assist in the promotion of services by poison information centers across the nation, and prevention and treatment concepts and techniques on poisoning.
  4. To decrease labor disputes, improve environmental pollution and eliminate substances abuse through promoting awareness of and educating the public about the safe use of medicines, occupational hygiene and recognizing chemical substances.
  5. To promote and plan for the financial support of professional training, continued education, further studies abroad, tours, visits, attending meetings and research by personnel in the fields of toxicology, pharmacology, chemical injuries, industrial safety, environmental medicine, etc.
  6. To organize or co-organize related seminars and invite foreign experts to visit, conduct academic exchanges and instruction.
  7. To assist in the appraisal of occupational injuries, investigation of environmental pollution, execution of safety evaluations of pharmaceuticals and chemical poisons, and the propagation and promotion of concepts and techniques in the determination, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of poisonous substances and the damages they cause.
  8. To establish exhibition centers to increase and promote the public’s education in related knowledge.
  9. To participate in the activities of international organizations and to develop a global network for poison prevention.
